Introducing Quinn Archer

Quinn Archer is a British born, Los Angeles based singer, songwriter. Her music was introduced to me as “a remarkable blend of gothic soul with the voice of an old-school diva and the temperament of a well-brought up angel”.

Her father used to be a DJ, so he introduced her to a various range of artists (Janis Joplin, Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Raitt, Etta James, Chris Cornell, Fiona Apple) and sounds that have had strong influences on her own musical style.

While attending a prestigious music school in Los Angeles, The Musicians Institute, she formed her first hard rock group, called Stereofiend. Later she joined a band, called Juliet’s Royal Blood. Since the band disbanded, Quinn has continued to write songs as a solo performer.

Her debut single “Walk Through the Fire” was released last December. The song really touched me since she sings about getting through certain things and making certain mistakes in life so we get to the point where we’re supposed to be. In the last year alone I experienced many eye opening situations like that.

Quinn’s new single “Rest of My Days”, a duet with Marcus Foster, was released yesterday. You can hear it here. I love it! I have it on repeat actually.
